Create My Song

Tell us about the person, occasion and memories behind the song. You do not need to know how to write lyrics or describe production — just give us the story in your own words.

The more specific the details, the more personal the finished song can feel.

01

Package & Contact

If you arrived from one of the package buttons, your choice should already be selected. You can still change it here.

No problem — we can help you choose.

Complete the questionnaire and we can recommend the package that best fits the story, level of refinement and finished files you want. If there is something specific you are unsure about, tell us here.

02

Who Is the Song For?

This entire section is optional. Add names, relationships and personal details if you want the song to feel highly specific, or leave any of these fields blank if you prefer a broader, less personalized song.

We can help determine the right level.

Give us the story naturally. We can decide whether it works best as a broader song, a balanced personal song, or something highly specific. You can also tell us what you are uncertain about.

We can choose the point of view that serves the story best.

The details you provide elsewhere in the questionnaire will usually make the strongest perspective clear. Add a note here only if there is something you want us to consider.

03

Tell Us the Story

Specific details are what turn a song from generic into personal. Write naturally — bullet points are perfectly fine.

04

Lyrics — Optional

You do not need to write lyrics. If you already have words, phrases or a complete lyric you want us to work from, include them here.

05

How Should It Sound?

You can be as specific or as open-ended as you like. We will use this direction to shape the musical brief.

You do not need to know the label.

Tell us what you want the listener to feel, or leave the decision to us. We can infer the strongest emotional direction from the story and occasion.

06

Musical References

References help us understand the emotional or production direction. We use them as creative guidance, not as instructions to copy a specific song or artist.

08

Creative Direction & Revisions

Revision rounds are intended to refine the agreed creative direction. Tell us specifically what is not connecting — lyrics, vocal character, musical style, tempo, instrumentation, energy or overall feel. When a concept is not working, a revision may involve rewriting or recreating sections rather than making only cosmetic changes. A change to the core story or a completely different creative direction after work has begun may require a new version or additional work.

09

Anything Else?

Submitting this questionnaire starts the creative conversation. It does not itself process payment or create a commercial-use licence. Shadow Lantern will review the information before production begins.
